Free design tool

Design your driveway in Mississauga.

Start from a run-down yard, pick herringbone or running-bond interlock, large-format slabs or just new sod, choose a colour and drag the size. The price shows a typical GTA range for that surface and size, so you can compare before you call. Then leave a name and number and we send a free estimate for your real driveway. How the driveway design tool works

Short answer: pick a surface, a colour and a size, and the tool shows that look on a design concept render of a front yard with a typical GTA price range for your size. Send it, and we follow up with a free site visit and a written quote for your actual driveway.

  1. Choose a surface. Herringbone pavers, running bond pavers, large-format slabs, or just new sod and tidy beds.
  2. Pick a colour. Charcoal, tan blend, grey, light grey or anthracite, depending on the surface.
  3. Set the size. Drag the slider or tap 1, 2, 3 or 4 cars; the square footage and price update as you go.
  4. Tell us when. As soon as possible, this season, next spring, or just pricing for now.
  5. Send it. A first name and phone number are all we need; your design and price range come with it.

Where the prices come from

SurfaceTypical GTA range, installed
Running bond pavers$25–$32 per sq ft
Herringbone pavers$32–$45 per sq ft
Large-format slabs$38–$55 per sq ft
New sod only$2–$4 per sq ft

These are the same published ranges used on our interlocking driveways page and in the driveway cost calculator, checked October 2026, before HST. They include removing the old surface, excavation, the compacted base, pavers, edge restraint and joint sand. Thick old concrete, steps, drains or a heated system add to a real quote.

Choosing a look for your house

Herringbone is the usual pick for driveways. The pavers lock at an angle, which resists the twisting of turning tires, and a darker soldier-course border frames the edges. Running bond reads calmer and suits long, narrow driveways and older brick homes. Large-format slabs give clean, modern lines, best where cars don't turn sharply. Hold a sample against your brick, stone or siding in daylight before deciding; colours shift a lot between a screen and the street.

Size and the width rules

The car chips are a quick guide: about 300 sq ft for one car, 600 for two, 900 for three. In Mississauga the width is capped by lot frontage under By-law 0182-2024: 3.0 m under 6.0 m of frontage, 6.0 m for 6.1 to 16.9 m, and 8.5 m at 17.0 m or more. Check yours with the Mississauga width checker or, in Oakville, the Oakville width checker.

What we check on the free site visit

The picture shows the finish; the visit is about what's underneath. We measure the real area and frontage, look at what has to come out, check where water runs and whether the soil needs a deeper base, and bring paver samples. Then you get a written, itemized quote with HST on its own line. If you'd rather start with a number, the paver calculator and gravel base calculator size the materials.

FAQ

Design tool questions.

Is the price in the design tool a quote?

No. It multiplies the size you pick by our typical GTA range for that surface: $25–$32 per sq ft for running bond, $32–$45 for herringbone, $38–$55 for large-format slabs and $2–$4 for sod, before HST. Your written quote follows a free site visit, where we measure and check the base.

Is the picture my house?

No. The tool uses one design concept render of a typical GTA front yard, so you can compare surfaces and colours side by side. When you send your design, we visit your property, measure the real driveway and bring physical samples to hold against your brick or siding before you decide.

What happens after I send my design?

A real person calls or texts within one business day, with your surface, colour, size and price range already in hand. We book a free site visit to measure, check the frontage rules and drainage, and then send a written, itemized quote. There is no obligation to go ahead.

Which surface suits a Mississauga driveway?

Herringbone interlock is the usual choice for driveways because the angled pattern resists turning tires. Running bond suits walkways and narrow drives, and large-format slabs give a modern look on lighter traffic. All of them go on the same deep, compacted base, which matters more than the pattern.

Can I change the design later?

Yes. The design is a starting point for the conversation, not an order. Most people change something after seeing samples on site: a darker border, a different colour blend or a wider landing at the door. The written quote reflects the final choices, and nothing is ordered until you approve it.
